In 1999, professional skateboard Andrew Reynolds left his previous sponsor Birdhouse Skateboards, to team up with artist Jay Strickland. They collaborated ideas to create a skateboard company that would manufacture skateboards, based on the "party lifestyle" and Baker Skateboards was born. Baker is home to some of the most well known skateboarders, such as Andrew Reynolds, Bryan Herman, and Terry Kennedy.
