Vans was founded in Southern California by brothers Paul and James Van Doren in 1966. The brand was originally called The Van Doren Rubber Company, and opened their first shop in Anaheim, California in 1966. Today, Vans is the most recognizable and most worn action sports shoe company worldwide, and supports many action sports, such as skateboarding, surfing, snowboarding, bmx, and motocross.
